By 2019 we had already lived in 8 different states. We were working full time jobs and our four kids were active in school and activities. As you might imagine, we stayed busy. We were engaged in many things, but we weren’t getting everything we hoped for. We believed in more time together as a family creating experiences. We needed to GO and make a change.
GO be brave with hope in your dreams.
As a couple, we felt an impression to visit Hawaii. There wasn’t necessarily money in the budget for this, but we decided to act. A day after the Luau picture was taken, Jacob went scuba diving at night, waves overtook him, and this led to Search & Rescue pulling him out of the ocean. Yes, it was one of those moments that puts things into perspective. Priorities changed. It was time to DO something different.
DO the right actions that will produce the right results.
We followed our heart and made bold decisions. Jacob left his 18 year career at the beginning of the pandemic. Jacob joined Geri in doTERRA. As a family we sold everything. We then spent a year visiting Ireland. We also spent time in France and Italy. We traveled the USA visiting friends, family, and business partners. We spent time in Costa Rica. We traveled the USA again. Did we mention we are still homeless? There is so much good still to Do.
Questions frequently asked of us
Where do you call home?
* Being together as a family is home for us. We sleep and live in AirBnbs, hotels, or at the homes of family and friends.
Where are you going next?
* Most of the time we don’t know. We live a day at a time. As we feel impressed to go or visit somewhere, we go.
Is it hard to live like that?
* Perhaps it’s different than your circumstances, but it’s not necessarily any harder or easier.
Are you in the military?
* We are not, but we are thankful for those that properly serve and protect.
How do your kids feel about your adventures?
* We have four kids each with their own personality. There is a range of emotions. Each adventure puts a smile on at least one kid’s face and at times a frown on another. They all have their favorites!
Where do your kids go to school?
* They are on a variety of field trips. It’s a mix of hands on learning with homeschool.
What do you do for work?
* Jacob and Geri educate and sell doTERRA products globally. Is it work if we love it?
Will you settle down again and buy a house?
* That’s a great question. We don’t know yet. We are living and loving today.
